You may remember the neat 1960’s-to-now photos that Jose P. sent me about a month ago that showed Cholla Bay in the 1960, and then another shot from the same spot in 2006.
Well, Dawn F. has sent me three more old photos of Puerto Peñasco, along with some information:
The black and white postcard is from late 1940’s … when Homer and Florence Smith owned the home on the right(with the boat and trailer) it used to be lot #70 and is now #10. The other photo was taken around the same time….looking at the mountain from the high point before you get to JJ’s… you may be able to date this photo more precisely if you can date that car by the house on the left.
I will try to find more photos and post cards…if these 2 postcards are #’s 16&17 there must have been #’s 1-15 as well….and maybe more beyond 17.
Thanks for sending these in, Dawn! 🙂
I’ve started organizing all of these old photos here, but I’m trying to expand the collection and I need your help!
If anyone else out there has any old photographs or postcards of Puerto Peñasco, please drop me an email!
P.S. – There’s a new issue of De Frente available now as well.
