The Las Palomas beach and golf resort in Rocky Point, Mexico has announced that it will break ground in short order on a planned World class spa facility. The spa will be another addition to the growing portfolio of world class ammenities at their Rocky Point resort. The planned luxurious spa will be a 34,000 square foot facility and is expected to open in early 2008.
The goal of Managing Director Fernando Rossette is to make this a world class spa. Rossette states, “Similar to the world’s best spas, our vision for Las Palomas Spa is to make it a destination unto itself. We want it to be one-of-a-kind and incomparable in Mexico and the world,” he continues to state, “In designing the spa we took our inspiration from not only the breathtaking desert landscape of Sonora but also the crystalline waters of the Sea of Cortez. We made every effort to draw from these environments to ensure that our guests experience a haven of relaxation evocative of this unique place.”
What will make this Rocky Point Spa special? There will be 20 treatment rooms, six of them will have in room jacuzzis. There will be a sauna room, a steam room, a wet room, a water massage room as well as a beauty salon and boutique. What makes this project impressive is that Las Palomas has hired an International Spa consultant to put the design concept together. The consultant hired has been involved with over 40 spa projects in Latin America.
This announcement coupled with the Rocky Point golf already offered by Las Palomas Resort, will further enhance the resort as a World Class destination. As we learn more details we will release updates.
