As the busy travel season imminently approaches Puerto Penasco, Rocky Point house rentals and Rocky Point condo reservations are heating up. Because of this, we feel it is a good time to update our readers on the status of the Coastal Highway. What is the coastal highway project? Read on to find out more! People are always looking for even a quicker route to the Paradise we call Rocky Point. If you travel from Phoenix and Tucson, the current travel method is quick and easy. However, for travelers from California, the current method is not as quick as the one experienced by the Arizona crowd. On comes the new Coastal Highway. The Coastal highway upon completion, is an 89 mile stretch of highway that connects El Golfo to Rocky Point. El Golfo is approximately 100 miles south of Yuma on the Sea of Cortez. When complete, it will allow San Diego residents to reach Rocky Point by land in only 4.5 hours. Yuma residents will get there in as little as three hours. The highway is slated for completion in Q4 of 2007. The highway is approximately 65% complete as of now and well on its way to the target completion date. As Reservations at the Point learns more, we will do a future update in our news section.
