Actividades de Otoño en Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) Por: Puerto Peñasco Staff Como cada año después de unos meses calurosos, nos es grato dar la bienvenida al increíble clima de Otoño. Que para disfrutar de actividades al aire libre es sin discusión el mejor mes del año en Puerto Peñasco. Cada vez se preparan más eventos para éstas fechas en Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point), desde conciertos, exposiciones culturales hasta eventos deportivos, eventos que son de gran relevancia no solo para la Puerto Peñasco si no para los Estados vecinos que se preparan para venir a disfrutar del increíble ambiente playero. Este año nuestro Otoño inició con gran actividad ya que por tercer año consecutivo el Hotel Peñasco del Sol realizó su Jazz & Art Festival, con exposiciones de fotografía pintura y excelentes presentaciones de grupos de Jazz. Estamos seguros que el éxito obtenido éste pasado 7 y 8 de Octubre se verá reflejado en la pronta organización de un 5to festival. Continuando con los eventos recientes, nos complace informar sobre un nuevo lugar para disfrutar de los más frescos y exquisitos platillos del mar preparados con un sazón muy peculiar, el pasado viernes 7 de Octubre en Avenida 13 se tuvo la apertura de un nuevo concepto para disfrutar la comida típica de nuestro Puerto. El Sombrerito Shrimp and Beer Cantina, abre sus puertas para deleitarnos con sus varios platillos preparados a base de mariscos frescos, muy recomendado probar la especialidad de la casa, Molcajete de Camarón. Apenas empiezan las festividades del mes y con ansia esperamos el fin de semana del 15 de Octubre para que de inicio los eventos en torno al Peñasco Palooza Music Festival, en el marco de éste gran concierto donde participarán músicos de talla internacional como Steve McCarty, Jimmy Crespo entre otros. Las celebraciones tendrán lugar en Sonoran Sea y Sonoran Spa Resort en el área de Sandy Beach a partir del día 14 de Octubre. Durante éste fin de semana también Puerto Peñasco vivirá 2 días de adrenalina pura con el evento Thunder on the Beach Raceway, evento que por primera vez se lleva a cabo en Puerto Peñasco, estas carreras de autos se llevarán a cabo los días 15 y 16 de Octubre ¡Más música y diversión! El mismo fin de semana, Parrot Mafia regresa a Puerto Peñasco con su fantástico concierto y 5 grandes artistas, Mark Mulligan, Rob Mehl, Bob Karwin, KD Moore and Sam Rainwater. El concierto se llevará a cabo de igual manera el sábado 15 de Octubre, Parrot Mafia concert se llevará a cabo en Sonoran Sun Resort . El 4to fin de semana de Octubre Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) se llena de un ambiente cultural y artístico con las fiestas de Agua y Sol que traen consigo en su 3era Edición en Puerto Peñasco al Festival Internacional Cervantino 2012. Sin número de eventos se llevan a cabo en el área de El Malecón, o Puerto Viejo, exposiciones fotográficas, talleres literarios, conciertos y mucho más durante éstos dos días 21 y 22 de Octubre en Puerto Peñasco. La actividad deportiva no puede faltar tampoco en éste mes, y como cada año Funkalicious Volleyball Tournament vuelve con otra edición de sus ya famosos y reconocidos torneos, éste semestre Rocky Point Pirate Booty como siempre en Las Palomas Beach & Golf resort. El torneo se llevará a cabo el día 22 de Octubre. October is one the best months to enjoy this great weather, and like previous years great events are planned to happen. Often visitors and locals get prepared throughout the year for a number of exclusive celebrations that take place during October in Rocky Point, from great music concerts on the beach to cultural festivals and sports events. There is no reason why you wouldn’t want to be in Rocky Point for autumn. Fun has already started with an amazing Jazz & Art Festival that takes place in Peñasco Del Sol Hotel for the 4th consecutive year. This past October 7th and 8th Peñasco Del Sol hosted Photography Expositions and Jazz Concerts. These events were a great success, so we know that there is a 5th edition coming soon! Also Grand Opening, El Sombrerito the new place to enjoy fresh seafood has joined the 13 Street Community. El Sombrerito Shrimp and Beer Cantina, has a great variety of the most popular sea dishes in Puerto Peñasco. Open from 11-3am, you will love the Molcajete Shrimp! October has just begun and there are many things to do still. You might want to plan your visit to Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco) and enjoy the Peñasco Palooza Music Festival, which includes many events around the Sonoran Spa and Sonoran Sea Resorts on Sandy Beach. Events will happen October 14th and 15th and will feature Steve McCarty from the Steve Miller Band among other famous ex band members from many well-known Rock Bands. During this same weekend Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco) and all visitors will witness for the first time racing Thunder on the Beach Raceway, happening on October 15th and 16th. More Music and Fun during the same weekend, since the Parrot Mafia Concert is back! 5 awesome artists will share stage this October 15th at the Sonoran Sun Resort, featuring Mark Mulligan, Rob Mehl, Bob Karwin, KD Moore and Sam Rainwater. The 4th weekend of October we will have an extension of the International and World Famous Cervantino Festival, 2 days full of Art and Music with events starting at 5pm and until 11:30 pm. There will be lots to drink and eat all around the Old Port. Event days will be October 21st and 22nd. Sports are not out of the picture when it comes to the Beach! Once more the Funkalicious Volleyball Tournament is here adding a new Edition. Also celebrating the Rocky Point Pirate Booty, hosted by Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort, tournament will be October 22nd. And to finalize Halloween is around the corner!
