Getting a passport is a pretty easy process and there are options to expedite your passport if you need it. A first-time passport book costs $100 for those 16 or older, $85 for those under 16. Renewals are $75. A passport card for first-time applicants costs $45 for those 16 or older, $35 for younger. Renewals are $20.
