JJ’s Cantina
–       Advantages:

  • One of the most popular bars in Rocky Point for  nearly 20 years
  • Restaurants and bars inside and outside

  • Few older people because of it’s enduring popularity
  • High school and college students

–       Recommended:

  • Wear sunscreen – the back patio of the bar is right on the beach and many people enjoy going to the ocean in between drinks. You don’t want to get sun burned

Ice House

  • Adjacent to Manny’s and several other local bars

–       Advantages:

  • Popular spot for the locals, who welcome tourists and are eager to share the popular Rocky Point Spots

  • Just a short cab ride from Sandy Beach

  • Changos carries Tequila Penasco (locally made tequila from 100% blue agave)
  • Spring break there is a massive outdoor stage with a DJ and dancing area

  • Chango’s is located next to Plaza Meli Del Sol off the Sandy Beach Blvd
  • Right behind Sonoran Spa and Sonoran Sea

El Tapeo Wine Bar
–       Advantages:

  • Convenient location inside Laos Mar at Playa Hermosa
  • Brand new bar

–       Food:

  • Cheese and bread offered as appetizers

–       Crowd:

  • Resort goers and tourists

  • Try one of the many different kinds of wine that they offer

  • No hats for guys or excessively baggy clothes
  • Try the Pisco Sour (one of the only place you can get Pisco in Rocky Point)

Baja Cantina
–       Advantages

  • Great view of the Sea of Cortez
  • $15 all you can drink
  • Indoor and outdoor bar

–       Food:

  • They have a restaurant that is open for breakfast lunch and dinner and has a wide variety of menu choices

–       Crowd

  • Locals, high school, and college (significantly increases during Spring Break and other holidays)

–       Recommended

  • Come with a big group of people and try and stick together. When Baja gets busy it’s very easy to get separated

  • Located at the base of the mountain right in “El Mirador” area

 
Barra Vieja
–       Advantages:

  • Just opened April 14th 2012
  • Karaoke, pool tables, and massive dance floor
