Many people don’t know that Puerto Penasco has its own small airport catering to light aircraft called Aerodromo Internacional Puerto Penasco. It has two runways (one asphalt, one gravel) and has been undergoing upgrades over the last few years to keep pace with Puerto Penasco’s growing rate of air travel. There is also a new airport development project in process which is located on the way to Caborca, towards the Mayan Palace Resort. Once completed, this new airport will be able to cater to larger aircrafts. We are in the process of gathering more information on this upcoming airport.
