The annual Cornhole tournament in Cholla Bay is coming up soon, so don’t be left out. This event raises funds for the Santa Claus Club which benefits the poor families of Puerto Peñasco. For those of you not familiar with the club, they hold a massive party for the poor children of Rocky Point every Christmas. Every child gets toys, bikes and more as well as having a nice warm lunch.
The main event for the Cornhole is May 11, 2019 and will line the streets of Cholla Bay. As you can see from the photos a great time is had by all. Cholla Bay is a community that is very involved with the poor of Rocky Point and John Fowler works every week in collecting clothing, shoes and more and bringing them down from the United States and then hand delivers them.
The first event is it Baja Cantina on May 10th, the 2nd is the main event in Cholla Bay on May 11th and the 3rd is at Chango’s on May 12th. While you are in Cholla, don’t forget to visit the iconic J.J.’s Cantina. Sit outside and enjoy the changing of the tides and the gorgeous sunsets. While in town, do a sunset cruise as well.
