Judging from all the traffic traveling between the USA and Puerto Peñasco, it would appear that are not afraid to travel to Mexico. Despite the press in the USA, talking about gloom and doom in Mexico, the roads are packed. It use to be that the lines at the border both coming in and departing at the border on holiday weekend were long for hours. Now on most given weekends, the lines are almost as long. Even with the Port of Entry at Lukeville, Arizona having all 5 lanes open, be prepared to sit in line or shop with all the vendors lining the 2 lane road.
Please take care when driving between Gila Bend and the Mexican Border. Sadly, many people feel that they can pass in no passing zones, on blind curves or hills and that is when tragedy strikes. Be mindful that the beach and beer will be waiting for you. DON’T BECOME A STATISTIC! On the other hand the people that dog it along make matters worse.
The weather here in Rocky Point is finally getting wonderfully warm and the sunsets never cease to amaze. The golf course at Las Palomas, Mayan Palace and Isla Del Mar are so green and inviting. If you love to golf, this is the place to do it. Our Whale Watching season has been spectacular and there are still a few stragglers heading south. If you have not gone on any of the Whale Watching boats, mark your calendars for next year or watch our blogs here at www.Puerto-Penasco.com. We currently have about 10 boats that also do sunset cruises or trips to Bird Island and on these trips you will be accompanied by Dolphin putting on their entertaining show. The glide along side or bow ride back and forth as if they really know how to show off. This is something both adults and families can really enjoy.
