Thanksgiving 2017 proved to be one of the most beautiful weekends in a long time in Puerto Peñasco. No wind, sunny warm skies and beautiful sunsets. It doesn’t get any better than this!
The town was bursting with folks from all over to come and enjoy the beach with their families. Playa Bonita RV Park, The REEF RV Park and Playa del Oro were full to the brim as well as most condo and beach home rentals. One group that has come from Green Valley and Tucson has grown to 60 people enjoying turkey with all the trimmings on the beach at Playa Bonita.

The restaurants that offered Thanksgiving dinners were also filled to capacity as well as the bars in the Old Port had a great season as well despite some parking problems.
Did a little touring around on November 25th out to Las Conchas to the Annual Art in the Park and as you can see from the photos, they were also packed and sales were great. If you are looking for the best Al Pastor tacos, look no farther than Taqueria El Guero Adobado who serves both the Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos. Jose Perez and his wife serve some of the best around along with all the trimmings of salsas and slaw. When they are not catering events you can find them on Benito Juarez y Nicolas Bravo. They can be reached by phone 383-3939 or cell 638-386-9766. You will not be disappointed.

There were vendors both American and Mexican as well as the scout troops, selling their little baby cactus and another selling popcorn. Marilyn Knox aka The Candy Lady was there selling her divine chocolate treats. She can be found in Playa Bonita RV Park and at the Mermaid Markets every month. Loved all the beautiful brightly colored straw Christmas decorations and baskets. This was a great opportunity to do your Christmas shopping early…. I have mine done.
