John Fowler, founder of the Santa Claus Club in Cholla Bay, recently announced that due to the success of the Corn Hole Tournament in Cholla Bay that was held in October, players didn’t want to wait another year to play. The October event raised $7,500.00 to buy school supplies and to provide Christmas for the people in the very poor areas of Puerto Peñasco.
So the next tournament will be April 28th-30th. It will have it’s start at Baja Cantina starting at 6:00 p.m. Entry fee is $10.00 USD per person and the contest will pay back 50% of those fees in prize money.
JJ’s Cantina in Cholla Bay will be the host of the main event on April 29th. Check in is at 8:30 and competition will begin at 9:00 a.m. Register on site and it will cost you $25.00 per person or you can pre-register by April 22nd and pay $20.00. Get your team together now and be one of the top 6 teams to win prize money. You can register early by sending the name of your team, the individual names of the players, their email addresses and phone number along with the $20.00 per person fee to Santa Claus Club, P.O. Box 5, Lukeville, AZ 85341. You will receive an email with the confirmation and that must be brought along with you when you sign in that day. There is no doubt this will be a fun filled day, so don’t miss out. If you don’t own a home or condo in Puerto Peñasco, make your reservations today. Baja Hotel is offering up some great rates, so check them out and be part of the action.
The final event is April 30th at Duke’s Sports Bar and Restaurant starting at 10:00 a.m. The registration for it is also $10.00 per person with 50% being paid out in prizes. Duke’s is located on Plutarco Elias Calle (the street where all the quads are rented on). While you are there grab a great burger or one of their breakfast specials.
