Facts to know about renting a car to Rocky Point Mexico (Penasco)

Renting a car to take into Mexico (even just down to Rocky Point) used to be a huge hassle, but with the rise in tourism and the expansion of the Sonoran Free Trade zone, it's gotten a lot easier in the last five years.

There are a few rental companies that allow their cars into Mexico. Enteprise rent a car is one of them. If you need to rent a car, you can visit their website (rent a car with Enterprise). We have partnered up with them to offer you this service. Enterprise will rent you the car plus the mexican insurance that you must have. Locations: Dollar Rent-A-Car has a location right inside the Tucson airport, and two locations just outside Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. There are also branches in Tempe and Scottsdale, if you are stopping there first.

Restrictions:

Anyone with a valid credit card and matching drivers license can rent from Dollar Rent-A-Car

Renters above the age of 25 have no added fees - Renters between 21-24 can rent, but with an added 'young driver' fee

Cars are for use in the Sonoran free trade zone only (Puerto Penasco is in this zone) and cannot be taken further into Mexico.

Available for rent: The Dollar fleet has everything from 'Economy' sized 2 door cars up to full-sized SUV's, as well as minivans.
