I am trying to retrieve public records that show ownership of properties in Pto Penasco. In the States I would just go to the County Assessors website to obtain these records. I understand that once a home sale is completed that it is recorded with the Public Registry. Is there a site for them?

The Notario's (Land Attorney's) research the public land records as part of their government dictated duties to follow the chain of ownership on land sales. Contact one of them on this web sites 'Directory Link' on the left side of the home page & hire them directly. If you are trying to find 'Foreclosed Properties' and buy something cheap you better get in a very very long line. The local Mexicans & government officials have the first shot at that & you might as well try to hold onto snowballs in August!
